Why did you become a designer?
I’ve loved graphic design since before I even knew what graphic design was. Once I figured out that I could actually do it as a career, that was it! It combines all my favourite things; experimentation, creation, and organisation.
What piece of advice would you give your 13 year old self?
I’d tell myself that everything is going to work out just fine! Don’t sweat the small stuff. One of my favourite sayings is “what will be will be”, and I think it’s important to keep that in mind when you’re growing up.
What is your definition of ‘design’?
To me, design is shaping ideas to effectively communicate a message, in an aesthetically appealing and practical way.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Greece all the way. I hope I can go within the next couple years! My dream wedding would be in Santorini or Mykonos.
What’s one thing that most people don’t know about you?
Breakfast food is my absolute favourite. If I could eat breakfast for every meal, I would.
Best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
“Everything happens for a reason”
You’ve been given an elephant. You can’t give it away or sell it. What would you do with the elephant?
I would build an elephant sanctuary in my backyard, and then get 7 more elephants because obviously you can’t just have 1 elephant on its own in your backyard. It needs friends.
